Chains of Honor Runeword in an Ebugged Sacred Armor.
Ebugging a piece of Armor on Diablo 2 is a thriving practice that increases the armour’s defence by 50% and adds sockets to it. To Ebug an Armor piece, you’ll need a simple item made of Ethereal Armor (Not Superior or Low Quality) and the right things required to perform the combination within the Horadric Cube.
The most frequent applications to use Ebugged Armor and Helms are to use them as Mercenary equipment. If the Mercenary gets injured or dies, their gear is not affected by any loss in durability. Because of this, the Mercenary can wear an item of Ethereal equipment for a long time without worried whether it will break.
To Ebug a piece of armour, you’ll have to follow the same recipes used to add sockets onto an item. The recipes you can use to Ebug an armor piece are below and drawn from my personal collection.

1 Tal Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Topaz + Normal Body Armor = Socketed Body Armor
The item that you’re using has to be expected. No sockets, not low-quality or Superior. It must be a regular, old thing. The number of sockets an item can roll is randomly based on the ilvl level of the equipment utilized.
1 Ral Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Sapphire + Normal Helm = Socketed Helm
The item you’re using should be every day. It must have no sockets and be not superior or Low-Quality. It should be a standard, essential old piece of equipment. The number of sockets it can use is random and depends on the level of the equipment utilized.
1 Tal Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Ruby + Normal Shield = Socketed Shield
The item that you’re using should be standard. It must have no sockets and be not superior or Low-Quality. It must be a standard, fundamental old piece of equipment. The number of sockets an item can use is random and is based on the level of the equipment utilized.
It’s important to note that you can add sockets into an Ethereal weapon, but they are not eligible for a bonus like armor does. The Ebug is said to exist on armor as a result of the time, the Horadric Cube removed the Ethereal bonus after you had completed this recipe, and Blizzard changed it by making the cube apply the bonus. Now, it is no longer removing extras. It simply uses the bonus 50% armour each time. Fantastic, isn’t it?
Chest Armor is the most widely Ebugged armor, followed by Helms but not many Ebug shields because there are no Runewords for shields that render the guard indestructible and only one type of Mercenary utilizes safeguards. There is one Runeword that repairs durability over time and is beneficial for Ebugged armours for the player. The word Prudence. It comes with two sockets and is an excellent mid-level armor Runeword.
Below I will give an example of me Ebugging armor to experience it in action.
