In the game of Kotor 1 almost all of your companions have their unique “Mission’s Brother Side Quest which is the same storyline unique to their character. To trigger these quests, you’ll need to interact with your group players and watch their stories to create new Journal entries. Sometimes, you can chat with them on the Ebon Hawk or have them around the world to further their plot, but there will be times when you’ll require specific occasions.
It is possible to trigger events by using your companions on any planet within the city’s port. The Tatooine Docking Bay and Dantooine Jedi Enclave are great locations where you can trigger events. The Side Quest involving Mission’s brother Griff begins in one event that occurs throughout the game.
Warning! If you clean out of the Sand People Enclave before beginning the quest, Griff will not be in The Sand People Enclave, and you won’t have the ability to complete the quest. Additionally, if you do not bring Mission along when you visit the Sand People Enclave and rescue Griff, you’ll miss many of the dialogues in this quest.

When you’ve completed the quest and are going to Tatooine, you’ll have the opportunity to talk to the Czerka in of the Hunting Lodge in Anchorhead about Griff. You’ll receive an updated Journal entry after speaking to the Officer of Protocol in this area, which is a crucial aspect of the quest if you wish to get the most out of it. Talking directly to the NPC will set you up for the second part of this quest that involves Griff and Tach Gland. Tach Gland.
Griff is located inside his home in the Sand People Enclave. He’s one of two individuals who are being held in prison here.
To gain access into The Sand People Enclave, you’ll have to be dressed in disguises so they won’t be able to recognize them as you. For more details on this and the breakdown of the violent and nonviolent methods, look at my Tatooine Walkthrough.
In your dialogue with Griff in The Sand People Enclave, choose whatever dialogue option you prefer. The only option to earn your Dark Side Points is if you are threatening to kill Griff. Mission will not let you go if you threaten to kill him. However, If Mission isn’t with you, then you may kill Griff should you wish to.
If you’ve spoken with the Officer of Protocol before the quest, Griff will instruct you to go to Czerka Office. Czerka Office in Anchorhead before leaving the Sand People Enclave. Once you’re back in Anchorhead, you’ll need to go to the Czerka Office and speak to Griff (pictured below).
Griff will want you to get the Tach Gland from Kashyyyk for Griff, which you might or might not have. There won’t be any opportunities to earn Light Side or Dark Side Points during your first conversation with Griff… Once the conversation is finished, you’ll be capable of talking to Mission concerning her younger brother. The conversation could provide possibilities.
(Before providing Griff Tach Gland) A few Light Side Notes: Talk to Mission and tell him, “No one can teach the lesson, Mission. He must learn it by himself.”
(Before the giving of Griff Tach Gland) The Dark Side Rewards: Talk to Mission and tell him, “What do you care? He left you to die on Taris!”
When you’ve returned Griff using the Tach Gland, he’ll thank you and attempt to convince you to grant credit for his next fantastic idea. As you probably imagine, Griff will never pay back any Credits you grant him, so don’t. You won’t get Light Side Points for giving Griff Credits and enabling his poor behaviors, but you can gain Dark Side Points by threatening the guy with “Ask me again, and that Tach gland isn’t the only fresh-harvested organ on the planet!” If he tries to nag you to pay him money.
After you have given him an injection of the Tach Gland and waiting while, you’ll be greeted by Greeta Holda, who has a message to the recipient from Griff. The situation was not as good, and Griff fled the scene instead of admitting the mistakes he usually makes. Talk to Mission after the conversation, and you’ll get the chance to win Light Side or Dark Side Points once more. You can tell Mission never to let her brother go to earn Light Side Points or tell Mission you’ll kill her brother if you come across him again in the future in exchange for Dark Side Points.
